Colygon Releases 3.0 of their SharePoint Application Framework MatchPoint with Attractive New Features.
Colygon wins another certified partner for their SharePoint Application Framework: e-office will use MatchPoint to further increase the quality of their SharePoint solutions and to be able to enhance SharePoint functionality.
e-office, the human software organisation, was founded in 1991 and is specialised in creating the optimal digital working environment for professionals and closely collaborates with technology partners like IBM, Microsoft, Google and RIM. e-office offers assistance in the organisational and behavioural changes necessary to improve working processes and provides a transparent working environment, in which people are able to collaborate at any time and place with the right information and expertise they need. For the past twenty years the Dutch company has been creating virtual working environments - being convinced that technology alone is not sufficient to create the ultimate form of collaboration within a company: the employees' working methods and their physical working environment are an integral part of success. e-office created a name for this holistic working approach: work21. The Dutch company has some 90 employees and is based in Houten, close to Utrecht and currently supports clients like Rabobank, Eiffel and UPC.
"MatchPoint is a SharePoint Framework that uses best-practices such as centralized configuration for all SharePoint objects and therefore tremendously decreases development time and cost," explains Petra Stojanovic- van Kan, commercial director of e-office. Many organisations have the need for complex archive environments, but do not have the right capacity or budget for the customization that is necessary to unlock business data. MatchPoint offers additional functionality for complex environments in SharePoint which eliminates the need for customization and reduces the development time by at least 30%. "In addition, MatchPoint helps minimizing a user's effort with automatic tagging and at the same time maximizes search results with a powerful, contextual search interface and exact search results. The long list of benefits for us and our customers made the decision easy to become a certified partner for MatchPoint."
"With two decades of experience in increasing the distinctive working power of their customers by improving working processes of their respective employees, e-office is an ideal partner for Colygon," says Gian-Franco Salvato, CEO of Colygon AG. "MatchPoint is the perfect tool to do just that, so Colygon and e-office combine experience, competence and technical excellence. We are convinced that many Dutch companies will be able to benefit from this unique combination."
Since March 2011 MatchPoint is being developed and distributed by Colygon AG, a spin-off of the Swiss SharePoint specialist itsystems AG. The successful SharePoint Application Framework, awarded by the Gartner Group, enables companies to build better SharePoint solutions in less time. Colygon started the European roll-out of MatchPoint in March and so far has 11 partners in 8 countries.
After 9 months of intense development Colygon proudly introduces release 3.0 of its Gartner Cool Vendor Award-winning SharePoint framework MatchPoint, boasting more than 100 new and improved features to the benefit of existing and future customers.
Colygon’s MatchPoint 3.0 offers expansive improvements: with 44 new features and 70 improvements and enhancements MatchPoint 3.0 provides even more flexibility and best-practice components for SharePoint solutions development and further increases development efficiency.
External data sources are now even easier to integrate, content can be edited and managed more comfortably, the new workspace concept allows simple and quick configuration of structure and layout, metadata can be used in Search Definition Web Parts as well as in Refinement Web Parts and the new list data adapter tremendously improves the user experience in SharePoint lists. A special focus was set on the applicability of MatchPoint in international settings and transnational scenarios, providing efficient exchange of data and information for international collaboration and projects.
“MatchPoint’s status as the leading SharePoint Application Framework is well earned,” says Gian-Franco Salvato, CEO of Colygon AG, “We are spending 17% of our revenue on research and development, permanently acquiring and maintaining in-depth knowledge of all SharePoint areas. Regular monitoring of the latest developments in technology and methodology and incorporating the most promising ones into our product is paramount to our success. Our goal is to permanently create higher value and innovative services for our customers. In addition to research and development, we have also heavily invested to embellish service and support that comes with MatchPoint 3.0 on a great scale.”
“Our new release combines our extensive knowledge of and experience with SharePoint’s limitations, customer feed-back on relevant pain points and development excellence,” states Dario Zogg, CTO at Colygon AG. “The stated features are just a few among a long list of best-practice we have added, improved and amplified. And we are sure that our customers will be very pleased with what they will get.”
