Provisioning Template and Workspace Template
Definition
MatchPoint provisioning templates allow simple and quick
configuring of structure and layout. Existing sites can be exported
directly and used as a template.
The workspace template definition allows even simpler and
consistent administration of MatchPoint workspaces. In this
definition all configuration parameters for a MatchPoint workspace
are centrally defined. Among other things form pages can be
configured: These allow displaying and editing workspaces, so new
applications. For this reason workspaces can be directed and
managed even better. Even rights for Create/Edit/View of workspace
forms are centrally configured.
Workspace List and Workspace Data Provider
For each workspace template one SharePoint list is generated in
which the redirect items for the different workspaces are
collectively deposited. This also allows workspaces in larger
environments to be aggregated and displayed with
high-performance and without SharePoint index related delay.
Further, the access with the new workspace data provider is
simplified which makes direct access to all metadata fields of the
workspace template possible.
Workspace Editor Web Part
The two Web Parts, Site Creator and Site Property Editor were
consolidated to a new Workspace Editor Web Part. They use the
configuration parameters of the workspace template so that
workspace metadata fields can also be centrally administered.
 | In the workspace template workspaces are defined in a new way. Besides the list as save location for the workspace marker documents, fields for the Workspace Editor Web Part, paths to creation, Edit and View forms or permissions to create, edit and delete workspaces can be declared. |
 | Even in environments with many site collections, the new workspace data provider allows the delay-free displaying of workspaces and their metadata. |
 | Workspace metadata can directly be displayed and edited in a dialog. In the workspace template paths to creation, Editor and View forms can be declared. For this reason complex workspace scenarios are able to be displayed very flexibly. |
